Sid and James visited at the weekend and helped clear up the site and prepared a bonfire for the forthcoming fireworks on Guy Fawkes night. Progress was limited as a game of “cricket” developed using some off cuts of wood and board lying around the site. A memorable day.

Meanwhile the house is turning into a large cardboard box as the boys clad the frame.

They use Agepan DWD board which is a wax impregnated fibre board which provides an airtight layer whilst repelling the worst excesses of the rain. The board also helps to “rack” the wooden frame stopping it from twisting and moving before the brick skin is in place.

Inside the house the MVHR ducting is all in place. This will circulate warmed fresh air around the airtight building. It also recovers heat from the stale air in the house before expelling it to the outside.
Really coming along… Enjoy Guy Fawkes xxxx
