A very stressful day today with 12 people working on site, and another Warmcell delivery. Once I took stock and got various matters organised it was quite a successful day though.
Steve and his roofing team have had to wait until various bits of brickwork were complete before they could complete the junctions between tiles and bricks. Here with the brick wall in place the tiles can be finished with a slight overlap of the wall.
They are also able to start the tile hanging to the gable end which will overlap the brick wall. Another nice detail is the catslide roof over the entrance porch.
Touchwood today finished tacking the plasterboard to enable the insulation to be completed. Great job by all the Touchwood boys.
I was rushing around to ensure all the wiring for the cinema system was in place – 70m of speaker cable !
Joe and his team from Devana insulation returned to site to pump more Warmcell into the external walls . There is now no excuse for me not to start the remedial works after the insulation has been pumped into the walls. 150 mm pieces of roofing batten are cut and slid into position behind the plasterboard
I now have several hundred of these to fix before the plasterer comes!
